The eloquent object

Sound X Ornamentation

The Eloquent Object explores ornament as more than a visual surface. Beginning with sound as an atmospheric condition, the project asks how geometry, porosity, and material might participate in the acoustic character of a space.

A family of porous structures develops into illuminated objects, bringing acoustic inquiry into the scale of something we can encounter, hold, and live with. Between sound and ornamentation, pattern becomes both an expression and a question: what might an object do beyond what we see?

Can ornament shape the way a space sounds, as well as the way it looks?

Pores, patterns, and possibilities

Lattices and maze-like geometries explore different relationships between solid and void. TPU prints, digital simulation, and a custom acoustic test box support an inquiry into how material and form interact with sound. The studies remain exploratory, rather than a claim of verified acoustic performance.

Ornament beyond the visual

Repeated cells become a family of sculptural, illuminated forms. Light reveals their depth and layered openings, making the internal geometry legible. The object brings an invisible concern into a visible encounter, asking whether ornament can contribute to the atmosphere of a room as well as its appearance.
